Operational Risk Analyst

Mission of the role

The main role of the Operational Risk Analyst is to ensure that risks to the business are effectively identified, assessed, mitigated, monitored and reported. The position reports to Risk & Internal Control Manager.

 

Within the internal control team, he/she will be in charge of:

Contribute to the Risk Assessment Process across Romanian Entity

  • Assist business line managers in performing periodic risk assessment on business processes and defining key controls to mitigate the risks identified
  • Propose local Action Plans helping to mitigate main risks and follows-up on their implementation
  • Report the identified risks and controls to the Risk & Internal Control Manager and to Group

Contribute to the implementation and the follow-up of procedures and controls

  • Assist in advising of new controls & procedures across the business
  • Actively contribute to development of central policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Support the department managers in implementing internal controls
  • Test the effectiveness of the internal controls, report to the Risk & Internal Control Manager and to Group
  • Contribute to the assessment of role segregation and implementation secondary controls

Contribute to internal and external audits and ensure action points are tracked and completed

  • Cooperate with auditors, prepares the required materials / evidence
  • Follow up on the implementation of the audit recommendations and report to Risk & Internal Control Manager and Group
  • Support ISO certification

Central administration of the internal control tools

  • Use actively the Internal Control Share-Point ensuring regular update of documents and information
  • Use the internal control reporting tool and contribute to its further development

Data protection

  • Support the compliance with the requirements of General Data Protection Regulation
  • Provide customers with relevant information to demonstrate the compliance with the requirements as data processor
  • Support business in negotiation of data protection contractual stipulations

Daily operational activities

  • Investigate customer complaints regarding operational risk incidents, obtain operative approvals for business exceptions
  • Provide the information required by authorities

 

Ideal profile

  • Fluency in Romanian and English
  • Financial, technical or legal background
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Understanding of risk management principles and application
  • Analytical and process management skills
  • Anticipation and synthesis skills
  • A team player who can work in a cooperative environment, and engages effectively with others
  • Willingness to learn, develop and take on responsibilities
  • Flexible in adjusting priorities and agility in delivering performance
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Intermediate to advanced IT skills, including MS 365 Office suite
  • Experience of working with senior stake holders (department heads and senior managers) is preferred, but not essential
